Walk from Mass Ave through the Infinite Corridor and out into the Stata Center plaza. The campus is open and the random architecture is a tour in itself. The MIT Museum on Mass Ave is worth an hour.

Mt. Auburn Cemetery
America’s first garden cemetery, founded 1831. The grounds are an arboretum and a birding hotspot — songbirds funnel through it during migration. Climb the Washington Tower for the city skyline.

A small triangle full of restaurants — Punjabi Dhaba, S&S Deli (open since 1919), Bukowski Tavern, and the East Cambridge YMCA crowd.
