Do you offer same-day plumbing or heating service in Winchester?
Yes — same-day service is the standard, not the exception. We dispatch a licensed technician from our Winchester shop to most calls within a few hours, and 24/7 emergency response is available for no-heat, burst pipes, water heater failures, and gas leaks across our service area.
What towns do you serve around Boston?
Sedona Plumbing and Heating serves Arlington, Bedford, Belmont, Billerica, Burlington, Cambridge, Carlisle, Concord, Lexington, Lincoln, Medford, Melrose, Newton, Reading, Somerville, Stoneham, Wakefield, Waltham, Watertown, Weston, Wilmington, Winchester, and Woburn.
Do you install and service tankless water heaters?
Yes. We’re authorized installers for Navien, Rheem, AO Smith, and State tankless units, and we service every major brand. Tankless installs include venting, gas line sizing, condensate drain, isolation valves, and a Mass Save rebate workup when eligible.
Do you do gas line installation and repairs?
Yes — gas fitting is a core service. Our technicians are licensed Massachusetts gas fitters and handle gas line installation, extension, leak repair, appliance hookup (range, dryer, fireplace, generator, grill), and pressure testing. Permitted and inspected to MA fuel gas code.
What’s the difference between a boiler and a furnace, and which is better for my home?
Boilers heat water and circulate it through radiators or radiant tubing — quiet, even heat, ideal for older homes built for hydronic heat. Furnaces heat air and push it through ducts — faster warm-up, common in newer construction. We replace both. The right answer depends on your existing distribution system; we’ll review your existing setup and walk you through the right replacement path.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — Sedona Plumbing and Heating is a Massachusetts Master Plumber and licensed gas fitter, fully insured for residential and commercial work. We’re for refrigerant handling and a registered Mass Save Heat Pump installer.
When should I schedule AC service before summer?
Late March through early May is ideal — beat the rush and catch issues before the first heat wave. A tune-up includes coil cleaning, refrigerant level check, electrical inspection, condensate drain clearing, and filter replacement. Same-day repairs are available if we find anything during the visit.
Do you give upfront pricing or charge by the hour?
Upfront flat-rate pricing on every job — you approve the price before any work starts, no hourly surprises. Diagnostic visits are a fixed fee that’s credited toward repair if you proceed. We also offer senior, military, and first-responder discounts.
Do you install heat pumps or ductless mini-splits?
Yes — we’re authorized installers for Mitsubishi and Fujitsu mini-splits and a Mass Save registered Heat Pump installer. We handle whole-home heat pump conversions, supplemental ductless zones, and dual-fuel systems. Mass Save rebates of up to $10,000 are available for qualifying whole-home installs — we’ll handle the rebate paperwork.
